Stay Gold

Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature's first green is gold
Her hardest hue to hold
Her early leaf's a flower
But only so an hour
Then leaf subsides to leaf
So Eden sank to grief
So dawn goes down to day
Nothing gold can stay
(Robert Frost)

Did you ever see The Outsiders? I loved that film so much. The poem brings a tear just thinking about it.

I am all over gold at the moment.
Love it and am even thinking about doing a small range of C&B in gold rather than silver.
On the weekend, these beauties arrived much to MR C&B's horror. He reckons old ladies wearing velour tracksuits in Miami would wear these. I took no notice and haven't taken them off since. Granted, they are a tad on the shiny side. But a few more beach walks to sandblast them and they will look fabulous.

And, they match my new luxe leather gold wrap to perfection!
Bracelets available soon in the eboutique!

What do you reckon - a major fashion mistake or very cool (even in miami pensioner stylie)?

  1. It does have a whiff of Miami pensioner about it, but there's something about shiny shoes that brings a smile to your face.
3 year old's nursery teacher has silver ones I quite fancy.

  3. I love gold! Always have and not ashamed to say it! Would love to see some of your range in gold, would be amazing....I think it's how you wear it...(or am I destined to be a gold wearing bronzed wrinkly on a beach somewhere..??!)

  4. I agree with Hubby (Sorry!!) - kinda remind me of the American series 'the Golden Girls' (no pun intended!) but as long as you are happy that's all that matter's. I'm a lover of red shoes myself *waits for Dorathy/Wizard of oz themed jokes* so perhaps shouldn't comment on the foorwear choice of others.... anyhoo... just loving the new bracelets ... xx
